It&#039;s challenging for us to resist the pull of constant performance. Everywhere we look, we&#039;re bombarded with messages telling us we need to be more productive, more efficient, more successful.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u201e&quot;I have to function!&quot;\u201c<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This statement unconsciously governs our actions. It creeps into our thoughts as we try to meet the demands of everyday life.
