We simply believed what the banks, insurance companies, or television told us.
The radical shift in perspective came about through our work as independent financial advisors. Suddenly, we were confronted with numerous topics that we had previously preferred to leave to other "experts".
With the knowledge and experience we've gained in finance, we can now manage our finances more independently. But we've also paid a high price in terms of lessons learned.
Through FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and supposedly valuable (free) investment recommendations such as cryptocurrencies, NFTs and hyped stocks.
